Corporations in Recession Find Friends in Social Media
We’ve been thinking about this recession…oh yeah, a lot. The revenue from advertising that used to be so easy now is getting scaled back in the name of better measurement to prove the effort. We think a focus on added value might be the ticket. Added value for us comes in the form of a new emerging type of ticket.
Consider the recent stat: 70% of online adults use social media, and a whopping 93% of online Americans expect companies to have a social media presence. If social media continues to grow while the dollar shrinks, maybe it’s fair to say that companies need a new best friend? Mr. Fortune 500, meet Twitter. Twitter, meet Mr. Fortune 500.
