Kevin Olson announced as Chief Financial Officer
ATLANTA, Georgia – June 11, 2009 – Freeworld Media, Inc., the Atlanta-based social media company, named Kevin Olson as Chief Financial Officer reporting to Freeworld Founder and CEO Sean Wood.
Kevin is a partner with B2B CFO®, the leading national firm serving the needs of emerging, growth-stage and mid-market companies. A CPA/MBA with more than twenty-five years of accounting, finance, and general management accomplishments. His broad experience includes consulting services and software-as-a-service industries, and he has provided management to organizations at all stages from private early stage start-up, to mid-market growth and publicly traded growth.
“Social media has become an increasingly critical piece of organizational communication and marketing programs,” said Wood. “Kevin’s unique skill set will bring Freeworld Media a strategic growth plan to scale operations as we continue to build value-driven online communities for our clients.”

Olson received his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Iowa, and his MBA from Duke University.

Freeworld Media announces the launch of Hippo Water Roller website, impacting communities worldwide.
Atlanta, GA- September 25, 2008 – Freeworld Media, Inc., the Atlanta-based social media company, announced on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, the launch of Hippo Water Roller website (www.hippowater.org). On that same day, Google announced Project 10^100 (“10 to the 100th”) (www.project10tothe100.com), which will pay as much as $10 million to the best project that has broad and beneficial impact on people’s lives. The Hippo Water Roller Project was presented s “the kind of concept the company would be interested in rewarding.”
The Hippo Water Roller is a barrel-shaped tool designed to transport water more easily and efficiently in developing countries, which allows people to transport five times the amount possible over traditional methods. The Hippo Water Roller Project, its staff comprised entirely of volunteers, aims to bring as many Hippo Water Rollers as possible to sections of South Africa and educate the global community about the daily burden of water collection through the new website. The result of increased water transportation leads to sustainable agriculture, higher rates of education, higher mortality rates, and fewer injuries to women and children who must carry the burden of water transportation in most villages.

Freeworld Media launches the Arby’s Foundation website just in time for golf tournament season.
Atlanta, GA- May 8, 2007 – Freeworld Media announced today the completion of the Arby’s Foundation website (www.arbysfoundation.org). Officially launching April 16th, the site showcases a new identity for the Arby’s Foundation, which since its inception in 1986, has donated over $27 million to support leadership, education and mentoring initiatives in the communities they serve. The site promotes the Foundation’s fundraising initiatives including the Arby’s Charity Tour, a series of amateur golf tournaments and special events held throughout North America to raise awareness and funds for local Big Brother Big Sister agencies and other youth mentoring organizations.
One of the primary requests from the Foundation was to create a site which would improve the user experience allowing tournament participants to access their necessary information within three clicks. “Freeworld exceeded our expectations in the sites ease-of-use by enabling participants to access all tournament details and travel directions in two clicks and upcoming tournament details with just one click,” said Jonathan Dew, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Arby’s Foundation. “Our participants are now finding it much easier to access the information they need.”
The Arby’s Foundation has their own in-house team of designers who Freeworld collaborated with to better understand the intricacies and parameters of the Foundation’s new identity and branding. “Freeworld Media’s ability to interact with our team and bring our ideas and concepts to life was outstanding,” said Jay Taylor, Senior Managing Director of the Arby’s Foundation.
The Chairman of the Board for the Arby’s Foundation, Tom Garrett, was equally pleased with the new website, citing the relationship with Freeworld as a success in saying, “this site takes us to a whole new level.”
